This is the second in a four part article series that details the making of a movie in 足交视频 entitled 鈥淩ide or Die鈥 which is a Bonnie and Clyde-inspired film starring and directed by L.A. photographer and director, Joshua Shultz.

Check out last week鈥檚 article which highlighted local faces on camera and crew that worked behind the scenes. This second installment showcases out-of-town talent that came to town to work on the film. Find out what these actors think about our town.

EMMA KOTOS

Born and raised in a small town in Connecticut, 26 year-old actress Emma Kotos felt connected to her past while shooting the movie in 足交视频. Riding a motorcycle can be scary for some but for Kotos, it reminds her of her childhood and the exhilarating feeling felt riding one after being picked up from school.

While riding a motorcycle comes natural to Kotos, a southern accent is something Kotos had to acquire. Since filming started, Kotos religiously stayed in character, making sure to speak to everyone in a southern twang. Her character, Daisy, a southern girl from Shreveport, Louisiana is stuck between a rock and a hard place as she tries to save her sister from gangsters, roping Caleb into her schemes.

鈥淲hile filming I鈥檓 feeling her fear and her panic but I鈥檓 also channeling her confidence,鈥 Kotos said.

Daisy is a character not only Kotos can relate to, but a lot of people might sympathize with despite the action and violence in the film.

TIMOTHY V. MURPHYIrish born actor Timothy V. Murphy is known for his roles such as Ian Doyle in 鈥淐riminal Minds,鈥 Galen O鈥橲hea in 鈥淪ons of Anarchy鈥 and appearances in 鈥淟one Ranger鈥 (2013) and 鈥淣ational Treasure: Book of Secrets鈥 (2007). While you might have seen him in some of these TV shows and films, you鈥檒l also catch him playing the lead bad guy in 鈥淩ide or Die.鈥

Murphy describes his character as someone who likes pigs more than humans. As the main antagonist of the film, Murphy plays a gang leader who sells women and drugs. One of his favorite scenes to film was an interrogation scene with Shultz, who plays Caleb. While working on the film, Murphy has enjoyed the quality of Shultz鈥檚 filmmaking from the camera work to the acting of his fellow stars.

While Murphy鈥檚 character is a rough man, Murphy himself could not be further from his character. Born in a small town in Ireland, Murphy became fond of 足交视频 and its Irish connections with cornerstone family names such as O鈥機onnor.

鈥淚 love 足交视频,鈥 Murphy said.

Murphy took part in more than just the local cuisine鈥攈e also explored the rich history of the South Texas region. He enjoyed his time at the Presido la Bah铆a in Goliad, making sure to pick up a T-shirt with the famous bloody amputated arm holding a knife. The history of conquistadors and revolutionaries further fostered Murphy鈥檚 love of 足交视频 and the Crossroads area.

A love of history and travel has cultivated the idea of a television show where Murphy would travel the world, highlighting small towns and showing how alike people are. While a dream for now, Murphy hopes to show the world that kindness is the most important virtue throughout his works and travels.

KIANA KAYEPlaying the right hand man to Murphy鈥檚 antagonist, Kaye enjoyed getting to be a villain alongside Murphy, from kidnapping Daisy to trying to overtake the gang. As Jen, Kaye got to be a tough cookie with facial scars and an all black ensemble outfit.

For the film, Kaye flew in from Miami, Florida and was excited to work with her longtime friend Shultz. She started her acting career as a child, working on short films with her sister. From there she began modeling as a way to express herself creatively which led to photoshoots.

After ten years in the industry, Kaye admits, her job is pretty cool. Creating connections saw her career take off in her 20s and she has watched her hard work pay off as everything comes to a head. She sees Shultz鈥檚 film as a huge opportunity and acting as a chance to tell stories and enjoys getting to be a part of the creative process.

While playing a tough gangster onscreen in one thing, Kaye highlights an underlying message in the film.

鈥淛osh touches on the danger of people in sex trafficking which isn鈥檛 talked about much in Hollywood. We want to change the stigma and focus on what鈥檚 real,鈥 Kaye said.

HUDSON BLOOMOriginally from Florida, cinematographer Hudson Bloom met Shultz in Florida last year and after meeting and staying in touch, Bloom made a 30-hour road trip down to 足交视频 to work with Shultz on the film.

Every shot in a film is important and tells its own story from the lighting to the framing. The overall look of the movie had one particular action director in mind鈥擬ichael Bay. With high action quick shots and dramatic lighting, Bloom creates a surrealist looking film behind the camera on set and in post editing.

Getting to shoot a film in Texas has been fun for Bloom, who has embraced the western feel of the area, switching to vintage film lenses. It鈥檚 a unique look and feel that is inspiring. But more than the aesthetics, Bloom said the town鈥檚 people are just as inspiring.

鈥淪mall towns are the best. In 足交视频, people are down for it from the police chief to the mayor, it鈥檚 easy to make a film here,鈥 Bloom said.

While a movie like this would鈥檝e been harder to shoot in Los Angeles, making a movie in 足交视频 would鈥檝e been nearly impossible without supportive townspeople from locals in front of and behind the camera. And having good food and history along with Southern hospitality is just a plus for 足交视频.
