In October, Los Angeles-based movie director and photographer Joshua Shultz rode into town on his Harley Davison to shoot a movie in 足交视频.

With a big-name movie star and a dedicated crew from all over the country, Shultz draws on 足交视频鈥檚 real life entanglement with the famous gangster duo, Bonnie and Clyde, to create a modern and reimagined tale of romance and danger called Ride or Die.

With a budget of $10,000 and a couple of favors, Shultz set out with the goal to make a $100,000 film in 足交视频. There are a lot of moving parts that go into making a movie from script writing, film editing, music production, coloring, sound design, costume design and more. A the movie undergoes post-production editing, Shultz highlights the beauty of what others may find ugly or typical.

鈥淭here is so much beauty here and the city is so accommodating. We couldn鈥檛 have pulled this off without the people of 足交视频,鈥� Shultz said.

Shultz became inspired when he met his fellow co-star, Emma Kotos, during a photoshoot. With classic rock and small town girl vibes, Shultz shot a video of a motorcycle ride which launched the idea behind Ride of Die into existence.

Shultz assembled a small city together with a family of cast and crew to shoot the life of the film in 足交视频.

鈥淚鈥檓 only as good as my team, and it鈥檚 rare to see such great support from the community. You don鈥檛 see that often,鈥� Shultz said.

While also serving as a director and writer for the movie, Shultz also plays one of the lead characters named Caleb who lives in 足交视频 and is an ex-special forces man who experiences misfortune after misfortune. Caleb is trying to get back on the right path after his wife leaves him and after having turned himself in after a robbery.

While Shultz鈥檚 character has an adventure of his own to take, 足交视频鈥檚 oldest delicatessen, Fossatti鈥檚 Delicatessen, has a story of its own to tell, having supposedly served a meal to Bonnie and Clyde back in the day.

With the official trailer for the movie out, it鈥檚 time to meet the local faces who worked in front of the camera and behind the scenes to help create movie magic in their community.

MIKE MICHAEL and EVELYN VILLARREAL

Behind the scenes, Mike Michael and Evelyn Villarreal help the stars look their best on camera. Michael, born in 足交视频, has worked in New York City, executing professional and special effects makeup. But doing makeup is about more than just powder and blush. It鈥檚 also formulating the perfect cocktail mixture to create fake sweat.

Since the movie takes place in the dead heat of summer in 足交视频, sweat just comes with the territory. From last-minute touches and early 7 a.m. call times, Michael saw 12-to 14-hour days making sure the stars of the film shone on camera.

While Michael, Koto鈥檚 new favorite makeup artist, did some last minute blush touch ups, Villarreal with Divine Hair Design, worked alongside him, crafting the perfect tousled curls in Koto鈥檚 hair.

OLIVIA BASALDUAOlivia Basaldua, 23, looks at her hometown not with rose colored glasses but with star-shaped ones. Working as a personal assistant and on a behind the scenes documentary with her friend, Basaldua sees the star quality potential in 足交视频鈥檚 landscapes and people.

鈥淪hultz has a great vision to give 足交视频 a name in film and make us a prime area for films,鈥� Basaldua said.

Like Shultz, Basaldua sees how much talent resides in 足交视频. She鈥檚 proud of how the town has come together to show people what the city had to offer. She said Shultz鈥檚 passion for 足交视频 is not only a blessing for aspiring filmmakers in town, but a blessing for local businesses who are feeding and housing the out-of-town cast and crew.

鈥淲e never see this here, I love his passion for this city. We could be so much more,鈥� Basaldua said.

JUAN EFFLocal filmmaker Juan Eff is a jack of all trades. He produces films, music videos and even creates taxidermy art pieces. Having won awards and participated in the local Viva Texas Film Festival, Eff networks his way into the film scene and working hard to get his career to start snowballing.

At his craft since the age of 15, Eff has created art and that talent has paid off, keeping him fully booked until the spring and working to produce a behind the scenes documentary for Ride or Die.

鈥淲e have all the components to make movies here, I know because we鈥檝e done it before. Anyone can do it, even students with an iPhone. Write the story 鈥� do it 鈥� make it,鈥� Eff said.

JESSIE MAPES

Yorktown resident Jessie Mapes is no stranger to the big screen. He played Jessie La Rive in Urban Cowboy alongside John Travolta in 1980. As a singer and an actress, Mapes has performed at Gilley鈥檚, a world-famous honkytonk club in Pasadena, and he released a country music album titled An Original Urban Cowgirl. Now, Mapes owns and operates CJ Farms in Yorktown with her husband, Charlie Mapes, where they raise running quarter horses and angus cattle.

Breeze Massie has always wanted to be in a movie. And when her husband, Matthew Massie, heard from Karissa Winters that a movie was going to be made in 足交视频, they jumped at the chance, taking the day off from work to appear in Ride or Die as extras.
