A two-vehicle accident Friday morning just west of Dumas sent three people to the hospital, two with serious injuries, according to Sergeant Cindy Barkley of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Around 9 a.m. Friday, a passenger vehicle was traveling west on U.S. 87 near McPherson Avenue.聽 At the same time, a pickup was traveling in the same direction a little ways ahead of the passenger car.聽 The driver of the pickup attempted a u-turn, pulling in front of the passenger car.聽 The passenger car T-boned the pickup.
The force of the impact ejected two occupants of the pickup.聽 They were airlifted to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo with serious injuries.聽 The third occupant of the pickup was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital in Dumas.聽 The driver of the passenger car was not injured.
Members of the Moore County Sheriff's Office, Emergency Management, and Emergency Medical Services, as well as the Dumas Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety.
