WENATCHEE — A Wenatchee man is accused of making threats against Grace City Church and its members in a video posted to social media.

A church member on Sunday informed Wenatchee police of a video posted to Samuel Joseph Antonio Guillen’s Facebook account that tagged Grace City Church and made violent threats, according to documents filed in Chelan County Superior Court. In the 13-second video, Guillen threatened to “shoot your house up,” burn down “your buildings” and “your house,” and threatened to rape children.

Guillen, 35, did not specify in the video to whom the threats were directed outside of the tag, “Samuel Guillen is at Grace City Church.” Guillen appeared to be in a tent during the video and it’s unclear whether he ever stepped onto Grace City Church property.

Guillen was already in custody when the threats were reported to police. He was arrested Sunday after an employee at the Evergreen Smoke Shop in Wenatchee reported to police that someone had come in trying to steal from the shop, according to court documents.

Guillen is expected to make a preliminary appearance Tuesday in Superior Court on suspicion of threats to bomb or injure property (school and children) and threats to bomb or inure (place of worship and church members).
