Goliad middle blocker Addison Yendrey was a first-team selection on the Blue Bell/Texas ×ã½»ÊÓƵ Writers Association’s Class 3A all-state team released Wednesday.
Yendrey, a sophomore, helped the Tigerettes advance to the Class 3A, Division I state final before finishing with a 41-6 record.
Yendrey had 953 kills, 134 blocks, 53 digs, and 16 aces and was named the Offensive Player of the Year on the District 26-3A team.
Goliad setter Isabel Sanchez was named to the second team.
Goliad outside hitter Maevyn Wunsch, and libero/defensive specialist Karolynn Youngblood were selected to the third team.
Goliad libero/defensive specialist Ryleigh Glass earned honorable mention.
Also earning honorable mention were Industrial middle blocker Deziree Evans, outside hitter Karli Stanish, and libero/defensive specialist Autumn Kallus, and Edna outside hitter Shanti Guerra.
Stockdale outside hitter Leann Wise was selected as the Player of the Year, and Stockdale’s Laura Gonzales was named Coach of the Year.
