TEXARKANA, Texas 鈥 The Texarkana Texas Animal Services is offering its eighth annual Bark at the Park from 9 a.m. to noon tomorrow.
The event returns to Spring Lake鈥檚 Dog Park, where聽cats and dogs can receive free rabies vaccinations and city registrations.
The event is open to anyone, including those who live outside the city limits of Texarkana, Texas.
Director of Development Services Mashell Daniel said the event's ongoing impact has had positive effects on Texarkana pet owners and their pets throughout the years.
鈥淲e鈥檙e committed to offering these valuable resources to Texarkana and its neighboring communities annually,鈥 Daniel said. 鈥淥ur mission is to raise awareness and enhance the well-being of pets and their families in need.鈥
The city鈥檚 animal services department asks that聽dogs be on leashes and cats in secure carriers at the event.
Attendees do not need to pre-register, since all vaccines and paperwork will be handled on-site.
The city will also have other vaccines available at a minimal fee.
