Local citizens living with arthritis may find relief through DeTar Healthcare System鈥檚 upcoming 2025 Arthritis Seminar Series, designed to help those dealing with the condition gain knowledge on aspects of arthritis and explore treatment options.
The monthly seminars, set to kick off Jan. 9, will cover topics related to the management of arthritis such as non-invasive treatments, weight control, medication options and the most recent advancements in joint replacement surgeries. DeTar鈥檚 experienced joint care coordinator will lead the seminars.
The seminars will provide community members affected by arthritis or severe hip and knee pain a comprehensive overview of treatment options. Minimally invasive joint replacement procedures, including the highly advanced Robotic Total Joint Replacement technique, will be a key focus of the seminars as they allow for greater precision and faster recovery times.
鈥淲e understand how arthritis can impact quality of life, and we want to empower our community with the information they need to make the best decisions for their health,鈥 Stephanie Schuckenbrock, director of orthopedics and bariatrics at DeTar Healthcare System, said in a DeTar media release. 鈥淥ur goal is to provide patients with a full spectrum of treatment options, whether through exercise, weight management, medication, or advanced surgical options like robotic joint replacement.鈥
The Arthritis Seminar Series is open to the public, free of charge and will be held at DeTar Hospital Navarro, in the MediCenter Education Classroom. Attendees will learn about the benefits and risks of various treatments, including cutting-edge robotic-assisted procedures, and may ask questions they have to gain further knowledge on the best practices for treating arthritis.
