It鈥檚 an eerie thought when I go back and think about the time I was out in the world. I was so gullible and vulnerable to the things that were out there to snare me as a fowler traps its prey.
Now that I am older and wiser, I can reflect on my life in the past. Thanks be to the Lord, I am still alive and healthy to be able to do His will instead of mine.
The bible tells us that Jesus went about doing good to everyone he encountered on his journeys. He was able to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, enabled the blind to see and the lame to walk. He even went as far as raising the dead. I love to read about all the miracles He did among the people and convincing some to believe He truly was the Son of God.
I believe it is part of my responsibility as a believer to imitate Him, even if it has to be on a much smaller scale.
There is no greater joy that fills my soul when I think that I can do the things that Jesus did while He walked on this earth. Sometimes I close my eyes and pretend I am one of His disciples and walk beside Him and witness all the wonders and miracles He performed under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
I believe the disciples had no idea they were walking with God all along.
They were personally taught by the master and were eye witnesses to His marvelous works, but they were still not fully convinced that He was who He claimed to be, 鈥滸od in the flesh.鈥
I wrote a book back in 2007 titled, 鈥淭he Man Behind the Pulpit.鈥 It is a short biography and story of some of my personal encounters I had with the forces of good and evil when I was a new convert to Christianity.
I believe the Lord is leading me to write a second edition. Now that I have walked with the Lord for over forty five years, my experience has grown. I have seen His hand at work in the church and in my private life as well. At this time I can only reflect on my life and wish I could have done more. If the Lord tarries for His Church, I am more than willing to continue in His ministry as long as He allows me to do so, day by day. It truly is a blessing to be used by the power of 鈥渢he Almighty鈥 for His honor and His glory. As our soul prospers, I believe that God allows our reflections of life to also prosper and to last forever. Amen.
